Apparently its time for your monthly update from us. In the last month its been a bit quiet here. Well, except for the fact that Damion has spent a little over two weeks traveling for work and the most recent trip was 8 days. During that time it was less than quiet here.  A quick warning, this is a bit long but informative.

The first day he was gone I lost Jack at church for about ten minutes. Let me just say I don't ever ever ever want to experience that again. But I am so grateful that it happened at church. One of Anna's preschool teachers kept her calm while I freaked out, another mom stayed in one spot while I looked through the whole church and outside. While outside Anna and her awesome teacher went to the office and when I came back inside the number of people in that church seemed to quadrupled. Praise God Jack was found. One of the pastors found him in a room that I forgot was there. Jack informed me that he was hiding and the Pastor confirmed he was in a really good hiding spot, in fact that he'd need to remember that hiding spot. Have I mentioned I love the Pastors and staff at our church and preschool?

Before I tell the next story that involves Jack I don't want Anna to feel left out. The weekend Damion was gone my mom, Joe and Lori came to visit. Anna was all sorts of excited to see them but was super excited about the fact that grandma had played baseball with her while Lori & I went shopping. Since then she's kept asking when it would be nice enough outside for us to play baseball with her new ball and bat. While we have had nice days they have all required heavy jackets and that's not the best for teaching somebody baseball. Well that and I haven't been in the mood to deal with the ball going over neighbors' fences (I know one of the neighbors knows we go into their yard to retrieve lost toys, two of them likely won't mind and we don't know the fourth one at all, but will be meeting them shortly.)

On Tuesday March 1 Anna and Jack were playing together nicely three feet away from me. All of a sudden Jack fell off the futon and cracked his head on a leg of a kids' chair. Long story short, blood every where, some short periods of Jack zoning out (later this was defined for me as a loss of conscientiousness). The doctor's office told us to go to the ER. Remember the pastor who found Jack a couple of days prior? Well, his wife took Anna in (they have a child in kindergarten and a child Jack's age) so she didn't have to go to the ER. The doctor confirmed no neurological damage and after 45 minutes about to staple or not staple the cut, it was decided to not staple. Poor little guy was asleep about three blocks from the hospital. That night was a very melo night at home that consisted of take out and a movie.

Fortunately that was all of the dramatic over the last month. I honestly don't think I could handle much more than that.

This past Saturday Anna and I went o get our hair cut. When we got home we saw Damion and Jack working on a wood related project in the garage. They were using scraps to make a stage and supports. Damion said the total amount of time spent on it was about and hour. Damion also got out the microphones and speakers for the kids. The stage has put into use around 11:30 on Saturday and has been used at least every other hour since then (with the exception of when the kids were sleeping a t night). They love it! Sometimes they play on it together. Sometimes we are treated with solo performances.

This past Friday we also started redoing our downstairs living room. I took the trim off the windows and was amazed at how much lighter the room looked with the dark trim gone. After cutting in with the primer we concluded that this room in primer white would not be manageable for very long. So Saturday we asked Anna what color we should paint the room. She said blue. Off to Lowe's we went! In about three minutes we picked out a blue of two accent walls and a khaki for the other walls. The blue was put on that night. The khaki wasn't purchased because we wanted to make sure we liked the blue first. And? Love it!!!!

And or course there are pictures from February and March to date up in the gallery. There are pictures from the snow storm of February, random pictures in February, the stage Damion & Jack built and the paint job. Enjoy and see you next month :)
