Last night did not go well at all for Anna & me.  What do you mean you don’t know what I’m talking about, well skip down and read that post and the rest of the class will wait for you……………………………done now?  Okay, you can now click read more.

Jack woke around 2 am.  I was a bit slow to take get to him and he may or may not have woken up Anna.  She greeted me in the hallway as I closed Jack’s door to go back to bed.  Damion took care of her this time and a couple of times after that over the course of 10 minutes.  I started taking care of her around 2:30.  I started with a diaper change because I remembered she had major diaper rash.  Well, it helped but wasn’t the cause of the problems.  I tried laying her in her bed and lying on the floor beside her bed.  I tried lying beside on the floor sharing my pillow.  At one point we went and laid down on the futon.

At 4:45 we woke up Damion and told him we were going for a drive because she was still awake, much to his surprise.  We went for a drive thru to the country.  Only problem is that I got a slight bit disoriented because, well it was 5 am but more so because of all the corn.  When I’ve gone on the route we went on it’s never had full grown corn at the intersections.  About 2 miles from my destination I saw she was asleep.  AND THERE WAS MUCH REJOICING, really just a big sigh of relieve and a three point turn to head towards home.  BUT she woke up as we got closer to the lights.  I turned towards home but then thought, I should put gas in the Jeep and started a weave thru the neighborhood and she went to sleep.  Instead of the gas station lights and movement waking her I went home.

Guess what!  She woke up when we got home.  So we tried the laying on the floor again, no luck.  I then laid her in her bed and crawled into her bed with her.  Still no sleepy, but I learned her bed is fairly comfortable.  At 6 am we went to my bed and joined Damion.  See 6 am is that magical time that after the night I had, I don’t mind waking up Damion.  But I went to sleep and at some point she did too.  At 7:30 I got up to Jack chatting and went to take care of him and Little Miss popped out of bed ready to help and start her day.

Well, since then I think she’s slept for maybe 40 minutes total.  She was put into her room about 20 minutes ago (2:20 pm) (she can’t get out now, in day light I was able to remove the inside handle) and I’ve heard her complain several times, but she has to collapse at some point, right?

ME? Written by Jess on 2008-08-19 13:10:46 How am I doing with the lack of sleep and busy body Jack? Well, thanks to this establishment called Starbucks (anybody heard of it before?) I'm working my way thru.
