I dunno Written by MrShake on 2008-07-23 10:45:06 Its a great idea on paper, but my guess is its a larger project that this guy wants to believe. However, I think it might be a feasible substitute. I was watching historyHD last night and they were talking about space travel and one guy had the opnion that we should skip the moon and go straight to mars. In the back of my mind is always this.... we went from sending a single astronaut into space for less than 20 minutes to landing on the moon in 8 years with less technology and no experience. Why is it going to take us 12 to go back? |
Written by Jess on 2008-07-23 20:57:10 Why did we start a project that was to be a "'stepping stone' to beyond places" in earth's orbit? Would it not have made sense to build it somewhere closer to the furthest point man had already gone, ie the moon? Have to agree with the guy MrShake say on the History Channel last night. We should skip the moon and go to Mars. Haven't we already been to the moon? Yes, we have input from the Mars Exploration Rovers, but wouldn't it be great for people of our generation to say they remembered when we put a man on Mars? |
