Adam come over yesterday and we were able to get the engine "installed". Going through the bins, we found that I needed some specific bolts... it's fun. But the engine is in. Pictures will be up this evening.
The install wasn't that hard. We turned the engine onto one side. Lefted the frame and place the frame around the engine. A couple of important things... make sure the valve cover is on before you mount the engine. Also, you'll need to drop the oil filter before attempting this. Otherwise, it should be fine.
Adam also talked about a Motorcycle Salvage Yard in or near St. Louis, MO. Jess started putting together a list for me as I talked about what I still needed...
- Engine Mounting Bolts
- Turn signals
- Matching keys for ignition, lock, and seat lock
- Seat
- Maybe a new fuel tank
- Exhaust
- Throttle assembly for the handle bar
It's not an exhaustive list (get it?), but I did find the bolts package on ebay for cheap cheap. Now I just need to win the auction.
