** UPDATE **
I agree that Coffee Hound is good (I have a cup right now). See comments for clarity.
I like coffee. Perhaps a bit of an understatement, yes, but still quite true. I have come to the conclusion that B/N is not the Coffee Haven of the midwest.
It's sad, really. WaWa on the East Coast has better coffee than every place I've tried here in town. I really hope that someday WaWa makes it's way west to our little towns. It has been a topic in my head as of late.
Last night I purchased a pound (1) of 100% Hawaiian Kona coffee from Gloria Jeans. I like that it's available, it's got a good aroma, good mild flavor and most importanly, I like it. But, it's a little pricey at $40 / lb. So, compared to WaWa where a 24oz cup of coffee was $1.31 (with tax), it's not horrible. The problem is that I'm drinking my Kona on the way to work (also wondering if in taste tests, does the color of the cup make a difference.... Anna: pay attention for your science fair projects) and I'm still thinking... I could go for a cup of Wawa.
Sorry for the rant. Have a nice day.

I LIKE COFFEE TOOOO Written by Anna on 2007-04-27 10:43:49 Today you offered me a smell of your coffee. That was nice of you...but why didn't you let me have a drink. Seriously I tried. Those two times I munch on the cup edge meant "I want some." Well, maybe soon? | hrm Written by MrShake on 2007-04-27 11:00:31 I've had wawa, and its good and all, but it doesn't match up to coffee hound or seattles best made at home or at borders except on price!! Gotta disagree with you. But to agree.... I could go for a cup of wawa, it is good coffee. | Written by Benny on 2007-05-21 19:14:51 There is a good coffee place in downtown Normal, called Da Coffee Shop or something similar. Damion and I would go there to 'study' sometimes. |
