We have survived another Well Child Exam.  Anna weighs 14 lbs 12 oz.  She was cooperative and provided a good stretch to show she is 24 ½ inches long.  Only a couple of times did she try to roll off the table.  Anna let the nurse practioner that was shadowing her doctor even hold her at one point. 

All was good until those ladies came in with their needles and immunizations.  The oral was given first and the lady seemed to do it drop by drop, which surprise surprise Anna didn’t like.  She then stated that it would likely be difficult to get Anna to take medicines.  I told her that I just put it all in her month with one push of the plunge, Anna jumps in surprise, maybe a drop escapes, Anna makes funny faces and all is okay again.  The lady had no response.  And then came the screams of having to hold Anna down for the 4 shots in the legs.  Poor thing.  Damion held her for almost 15 minutes before she was calm enough to put in the car seat.  She fell asleep on the way home.
