Damion and I have discussed a couple of times the idea of putting up a Movie Review page. I think it may be something that will arrive at some point. Right now I'd just be happy to have access to the pictures from our trip. Life going the way that it sometimes will, I've had the opportunity to sit and do a some self evaluation and movie watching. Two of the movies I've watched may be considered by some a "chic flicks". Me? I classify them as a change from the standard boy meets girl, boy falls in love with girl, boy and girl get married and live happily ever after. The movies? Fried Green Tomatoes and The Spitfire Grille. I'm sure most of you have heard of Fried Green Tomatoes, but fewer have heard of The Spitfire Grille. It's a movie I first recall watching with my Mom many years ago and sometime last year I saw on DVD and bought it without any hesitation. The summary from imdb.com states "Percy, upon being released from prison, goes to the small town of Gillead, to find a place where she can start over again. She is taken in by Hannah, to help out at her place, the Spitfire Grill. Percy brings change to the small town, stirring resentment and fear in some, and growth in others." As you can tell, it deals with so many different types of relationships. I'm not really sure why I like it so, but I do and recommend that you at least give it one viewing. Who knows, you may become like me and buy it.
