Last week I got a new toy. Don't hear ME say that statement often do ya?! Actually if you want to get techincal I paid for it a week and a half ago and got it a week ago. Details details details. Needless to say I was soo excited that I had trouble falling asleep the night I ordered it, which was not a good thing since I needed to wake up at 4 am for a flight.
My new toy is a Dell Axim X51v. That's a PDA for those not familiar with computer thingies. Thingies by the way is a techinical term. Hahahahaha. Damion named it FlutterBy, Butterfly mixed up for those who forgot this is "Jessie's World". Isn't that a cute name? I think it is. On Friday Damion took time out of his "busy" day off and set up the Active Sync for FlutterBy and Samantha, my desktop, so they will play nicely with each other. FlutterBy now has all my personal and work contacts and appointments in it. This week I'm working at incorporating FlutterBy into my lifestyle. The one thing I like is the traveling notepad to jot down a grocery list or Thanksgiving day menu regardless to where I'm at. FlutteBy is also great because it fits nicely into my purse.
Yeah Snow angels. Oh....sign that Patrick from Sponge Bob Square Pants is a funny characters. Random thought? Yes. Remebering Patrick is a star fish, if he was to lay in the snow and make a snow angel, would he be able to do it? NO! Because he would make a circle instead. hahahaha. Write Comment (0 Comments) |

As stated on the main page, I went back to Illinois this past weekend for Laura’s play. I met with my older younger brother Peter at O’Hare and proceeded to pick up Laura and my younger younger brother Joseph. All four of us went to Happy Joe’s Pizza Parlor for lunch. We are so fortunate that it was slightly after the lunch rush because I truly believe it they were super busy we may have gotten kicked out. We haven’t seen each other since last Thanksgiving and all of us a sense of humor and had a lot of catching up to do. Best to say there was a lot and lot of loud laughing and laughing so hard we started to cry. “WOW MOM it’s a COW. MOO.” That simple statement showed that I am not mouth to hand coordinated much to the amusement of my siblings.
We saw the play both Friday and Saturday night. The first night we were full of commits and enjoyed making shadow puppets. That night we were near the middle of the fifth row. The second night Laura and Mom got us seats along the aisle of the second and third row, which we requested but required better behavior. The cool part is that we got to not only each other but also our grandpa both nights and 7 of our 9 aunt and uncles over the course of the two nights.
All in all, it was a great weekend. Now wondering, after her performance as Maria, do I want to make another trip back to watch her play Ouiser Boudreaux in Steel Magnolias. Seriously I think I would laugh hysterically at her. Write Comment (0 Comments) |

I am so happy because this week I made the transition into my new position at work. Yeah! I'm thinking I'm going to like the new job. Lots of challenges coming my way though, but I think I'm ready.
Guess What! Today we are to be getting our new bed. Hopefully the sheets we got on a fabulous sale fit. Yes I know sheets come in a couple of sizes (full, queen, king, california king) and should be easy to buy. But the bed we got has a European top on it and may require sheets that fit differently. Here's to hoping what we got works, because I don't want to go shopping again for sheets. It was hard to first time.
The question from this week for you to ponder is this - If you do not fry French fries what do you call them? Just French?

Things learned I learned at the play. A fifteen-minute Intermission is not enough time to wait in line to use the ladies room and get a drink of water for scratchy throat. Especially in a line where this old almost blind lady cuts in frount of like five people and won't move to the back of the line. There are Two Acts, not two halves. There is an intermission, not a halftime…Okay, I knew that before but accidental called them that during the after the play discussion. Favorite quotes: 1. Said to Desdemona "Your are my captain's captain." 2. By a drunken Cassio "You are my ensign. This is my right hand. And this...this is my left hand.". Not funny to you? Then see the play and you'll see why they are funny.
Also, why do people go so hard on Hollywood about what is in movies? In last night's play, which was written over four hundred years ago, three people were murdered, one person committed suicide, one person was almost killed, a battle was presumed to have been fought and won, there were sword and knife fights, another person leaves the stage with the understanding that they will be dead shortly too and at the end my eyes were moist because of the end of the love story. I think I experienced more emotions watching that play than any of the four movies we have seen over the last two weekends.

Bear with me a minute while I rant.....
I don't understand why for the longest time I could update the pages on this site without any problems using Firefox and then all of a sudden tonight I can't and have been told I was to use Internet Explorer. Ya know, Internet Explorer, that web browser that had been completely removed from my Start menu for awhile because it wasn't/isn't stable...a web browser that isn't even on my status bar. GR ARG.
AND NO! I don't know why I have funny columns all over this page. Write Comment (0 Comments) |
