Jess occasionally sends me photos of the kids during the day. Usually attached is how they ended up that way... in this case, Jess had stepped into the office for a moment, and came back to find Jack wrapped up in a blanket with Anna's popper! He was three feet away from it all. So, he's mobile. He also seems to really like Anna's toys. As long as she says it's okay...
First off, pictures have been successfully added for viewing. I know its not many but hey, it's something, right?
Anna is a busy talkative little girl. She is all about saying "mommy". She doesn't care who you are, she'll call you mommy. I believe that she is teething again and it appears that in typical Anna fashion its more than one. Anna is also into giving actual hugs. If you are standing up and she gets the urge to hug you, watch your knee caps because she'll get you. It is so sweet to get a hug back from her. She has also become a huge advocate for her brother and the dog. As soon as Jack starts to cry she'll let you know, even though you can hear him yourself. Of course, she also likes sitting beside and on him.
It was a year ago Sunday that Anna was born. Can you believe that?
On Sunday we had some friends and family who braved the very icey road conditions to join us in celebrating Anna's birthday. At the party Anna was given her first ever own piece of cake with ice cream. In the past she was just given little bites from other people's. Well, she knew what to do right away. She did make a nice mess of herself in the process. After a change of shirts we moved on to presents. I must say that for a one year old I was pretty impressed with her ability to focus on a present long enough to open it. She did not have the time though to wait for it to be taken out of the box. Seriously, why does one toy need four twist ties and tape and plastic covers to hold it into a box?
Of course there were pictures taken. So, if you we there or weren't able to join us, jump on over to her gallery and have a look.
As a side note. I received an email from one of Jack's concerned uncles about the fact that there are pictures of Anna in Jack's gallery. Please note that in Anna's birthday gallery there are several pictures of Jack. I am going to try to keep each seperate, but it's really hard to not take pictures of one but not the other when the camera is out.
