Most, if not all, of you know that I'm only slightly interested in computers as a hobby.  I haven't really shared much about what I have setup at our house.  That changes now!

I won't subject you to it on the front page, but click the "Read More" link and satisfy your curiosity...

Coffee Haven

** UPDATE **
I agree that Coffee Hound is good (I have a cup right now).  See comments for clarity.

I like coffee.  Perhaps a bit of an understatement, yes, but still quite true.  I have come to the conclusion that B/N is not the Coffee Haven of the midwest.

It's sad, really.  WaWa on the East Coast has better coffee than every place I've tried here in town.  I really hope that someday WaWa makes it's way west to our little towns.  It has been a topic in my head as of late.

Last night I purchased a pound (1) of 100% Hawaiian Kona coffee from Gloria Jeans.  I like that it's available, it's got a good aroma, good mild flavor and most importanly, I like it.  But, it's a little pricey at $40 / lb.  So, compared to WaWa where a 24oz cup of coffee was $1.31 (with tax), it's not horrible.  The problem is that I'm drinking my Kona on the way to work (also wondering if in taste tests, does the color of the cup make a difference.... Anna: pay attention for your science fair projects) and I'm still thinking... I could go for a cup of Wawa.

Sorry for the rant.  Have a nice day.

Bring on the comments about how your coffee places!

Couldn't find a knife.
Saturday was Damion’s 29th Birthday.  Due to technical insuffiencies on my part, I couldn’t get the post I wanted up that day.  I gave in and asked Damion for assistance with the picture.

Damion opened presents in the morning and spent the rest of it playing with him.  That afternoon he went to play at his brother’s house with his brother, niece and nephew and later swung by Adam & Nicole’s new abode.  For dinner a large group of us went to dinner and then back to our place for Birthday Pie.  I thought it was a fun night and I hope everybody had a wonderful evening and once again….Happy Monday After Your Birthday, Damion!

Stupid Mommy Proximity Sensor
Updates
Written by Jessica
Monday, 23 April 2007

Early this morning, around 3 am, I was driving Rob home.  I left Anna at home with Damion because she had eaten at 2 am and was back asleep.  Based on previous trends, she would be good until 5 am ish.  I drop Rob off, stop for a drink for my scratchy throat and am listening to the miscellaneous cds in my car when my phone rings.  It was Damion.  Two things went through my head and ended up one of them was the correct thought.  Anna had woken up shortly after Rob & I left and she was not at all happy.  As Damion said, “her mommy proximity sensor went off.”  Really?  I was only going to be gone for just under two hours!  Needless to say when I got home both of them were happy to see me and within the hour all of us were contently sleeping in our respective beds.  But I was thinking about Anna’s “mommy proximity sensor”.  I love my baby girl and love spending time with her, but seriously.  Two hours.  Does anybody have any ideas how to make it less sensitive or how to reset the distance?  That’s all.  Off to “reset” her diaper.

A Night at the Track
Stuff and Things
Written by Jessica
Friday, 13 April 2007

Tonight I went to pick up dinner and returned to find Damion and Anna playing with the race track.  It was too cute not to capture on film….well on digital images.  After Anna went to bed Damion and I played with the track.  Needless to say the track had more curves than the ones in the pictures and somebody….okay, me…had trouble staying on the track.  That is when I said, “Enterprise?  Can you pick me up?  I’m off turn eight.”  That cracked me up and I was pretty much done for the night, of course the fact that it was midnight and I was exhausted could not have been of a factor, right?  Time for bed.
