We are making configuration changes to the website over the next couple of weeks. If something doesn't work, or images don't appear, we are working on it. Thanks for being patient!
Actually, if I would have waited another week or so this would be titled Seven Month Update...oops. A little slow there.
Anna is not at all happy sitting still. She is working on crawling. She is able to move using her arms and one leg with the other leg being dragged. Tonight though she came close, actually it was more so a bear walk then a crawl, but she was not sitting still. Anna is also working on her walking skills. She's slowly getting her confidence up to walk along the furniture while holding onto only one of my or Damion's hand. She does get excited though if somebody wants to hold both her hands and take her for a walk.
As usual there are pictures in the gallery. There are pictures from Anna's sixth month photo shoot and miscellaneous pictures taken througout the month of June. A bit of a warning though, the album for June 23 may not be for everybody (ie the weak hearted, nanas, or grandmas).
It has been awhile since I have come across something that has just
not sat well within me. But today I found something on that
wonderful thing called the internet that just baffels me. It is
the "essentials pacifier pod".
Basically it is a little holder, size of a cell phone holder, that you
can attach to your purse that holds two pacifiers so you always have
one with your purse in case you have to leave the house quickly.
And it can be yours for $8 plus shipping!
Really? People are buying this? Anna has gotten to 6
months and I haven't had a need for this. We have kept a limited
number of pacifiers in the house so we always have an idea where one is
located. Oh, so you need to have a place to keep it?
Really? I have found a pants pocket works nicely.
Really?
For if you leave the house quickly? Seriously, there is no
quickly leaving the house if you have a kid that needs a
pacifier. Because there is also likely the need for that
silly thing called a car seat and a diaper bag at minimun. So,
why not do what we have done and leave a spare in the diaper bag and
when you get home put it back! Seems simple don't you
think. Oh the only time that spare is used is when Anna is at
church and the nice nursery people don't use the labeled pacifier (labeled per their request) and
when Nana misplaces the one Anna came with (Yeah QaQa for finding it on
the key rack!)
Yet again though I feel like I need to ask, Really? People need this?
From Anna and I, Jess got a Rotatrim Mastercut II 15" Rotary Cutter from B & H. It's a fantastic paper cutter that will cut paper edges thinner than a hair... It's really neat.
Since I'm having so much fun with the video stuff, here's a video of the cutter in action...
Last week Anna turned 5 months old.She is working up on her sitting up skills. She can stay upright for several minutes while I go refill my glass with water. She has also learned to catch herself in a soft roll/fall action instead of the face plant that she was doing. That is a good thing because there is now less crying when she falls.
Anna is also starting to tolerate tummy time.I think that she realizes that she can possibly start going places if she strengthens her legs. She also loves pushing herself around in circles. It’s not uncommon to put her into her bed or pack & play one way and when you pick her up she is on her tummy and has turned her body 180 degrees.I currently have hundreds of pictures that I could post from over the past couple of weeks, but she & I are still working out an agreement on my time to work at the computer. And well, after posting the Race for the Cure pictures the end of the allowed time has arrived.
