It was a year ago Sunday that Anna was born. Can you believe that? On Sunday we had some friends and family who braved the very icey road conditions to join us in celebrating Anna's birthday. At the party Anna was given her first ever own piece of cake with ice cream. In the past she was just given little bites from other people's. Well, she knew what to do right away. She did make a nice mess of herself in the process. After a change of shirts we moved on to presents. I must say that for a one year old I was pretty impressed with her ability to focus on a present long enough to open it. She did not have the time though to wait for it to be taken out of the box. Seriously, why does one toy need four twist ties and tape and plastic covers to hold it into a box? Of course there were pictures taken. So, if you we there or weren't able to join us, jump on over to her gallery and have a look. As a side note. I received an email from one of Jack's concerned uncles about the fact that there are pictures of Anna in Jack's gallery. Please note that in Anna's birthday gallery there are several pictures of Jack. We are happy to report that we have made it successfully made it through Jack’s first week without any major problems. Yea Us!
This was quite the feet though as Anna wants to be an active participant in her brother’s life. We were able to bring to a stop really quick her need to climb the pac n play while Jack is sleeping in it. Now she just lightly shakes it while stepping on her box to look at him. Anna also doesn’t understand why Jack doesn’t need a ball or a toothbrush in the pac in play with him. At least she’s sharing, right? This week Anna was also sick. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday she had a fever between 99.5 and 100.9 degrees Fahrenheit (happy Damion?). Thursday she woke up HOT, which is apparently defined by me as 102.9 degrees Fahrenheit. Half in hour later we were seeing their doctor. I am happy to report that today her temp is normal and she is back to being her fun loving, tooth grinning, trouble seeking self. Today the four of us went and picked out our Christmas tree. Actually the four of us were there. Damion and I decided on a tree, more so Damion than me. Anna looked cute while touching all the trees she could reach from the stroller. And Jack, well, he slept. The tree is in the stand and acclimating itself to our house. Tomorrow we will decorate it. Don’t worry there will be pictures posted as some point. Well, both kids are peacefully sleeping in their own beds in their own rooms, so I’m off to catch some sleep before Jack wants to change that. Not suprisingly, lots of people seem to be clamoring for pictures of our new little boy, Jack . They were online last night, but you had to go look in the gallery of your own volition, i.e. no link in a post on the front page . Jack Anthony was born last night at 7:22 pm. He is 6 lbs 10 oz and 19 1/2 inches long. Naturaly he is absolutely adorable. Yes, we have pictures to share with all of you, but those will have to wait until we get home to off load the pictures. The goal is to have some posted by Monday.
